love this book and LOVE gibsie with all my heart but this book should’ve been longer, the ending felt rushed to me and those characters deserved more time together to grow and heal especially with gibs forgiving claire for her just shouting his secret to everyone so fast ???

It was still a good book, but man after the first 4 books in this series, this one was just okay. I love Gibsie, I am shattered for his story, that was gut wrenching to read. But Claire?? Man she almost ruined this book. She’s annoying, frustrating, selfish, and woefully unaware of real life struggles. So, read it for Gibs
4 stars -
i finally finished this after way too long. this book was heartbreaking & i loved it. i actually felt attached to the characters in this one. but it was just missing something for me.

Okay… I have a lot to say about this
I love Gibsie so much, ohmygod the ending is heartbreaking. After finding out what he went through ughhhh
I do think that him and Claire are most definitely trauma bonded in a not healthy was but I do love the way he loves her.
Claire— oh boy, I not a huge Claire lover. She was a great friend to Shannon and Gibsie but I don’t understand how he forgave her for outing his absolutely disgusting, horrible and traumatizing secrets in front of there ENTIRE friend group. My jaw and heart dropped when I read her just word vomit that letter.. truly heartbreaking and unforgettable but again there trauma bonded together so I understand why he forgave her.
I still give it 5 stars because these books are truly amazing
Also I do think that there was a LOT of potential romance that was overshadowed but Lizzie just being a bully to everyone. Like I swear I got more of Gibsie’s and Claire love and cuteness in the first 2 books. Also WE NEVER GOT TO TJE SWIMMING LESSONS!!! Like what??? I wish this book was longer, 200 pages longer

This was one of my most anticipated reads of this year and I hate to say it but I was slightly disappointed. I felt like I was reading filler chapters for the first 65% of the book, and as much as I love these characters, I almost found myself wanting to pick up another book instead.
