This pleasantly surprised me - I found myself intrigued by the world more than I expected from the premise.
It was a bit messy getting there but the plot does go at a great speed that keeps you wondering what’s gonna happen next.
And I really enjoyed the characters. Saris especially is a great protagonist and I liked her from the get go. The opening especially for this book is very strong.
Fisher at the beginning of the book is quite annoying and I was worried he would ruin the book. But, I actually ended up liking him a lot more once more about his character was revealed.Still though I have to give a general cringe warning for his character in the first half of the book, he has some terrible dialogue and says just some gross stuff that I was not a fan of. Makes the book a 2.5 honestly

The world building is incredible and the whole storyline?
Even a character I thought I was going to hate and find insufferable became one of my absolute favourites.
And no Romantasy book would be incredible without an absolute twisty, cliffhanger ending.

Exactly what I wanted from a romantasy. Great tension and plot but the end had me scratching my head… a whole lot happened in the last 25% the next book is going to be totally different. Will read. Would recommend
needs a second read through so my pea brain fully soaks in the lore

I spent the first five chapters of this book being suuuuuper sceptical. End of Chapter 5 had me gasping. I spent about 70% of this book giggling and kicking my feet. The ending made "OMFG" out loud.
