The beginning was very good, the banter was on point, I pretty much enjoyed it until they first kiss.
Then it just becomes one big red flag. Especially since I'd come to like Dylan as a character but as other have mentioned, he lets Gabe walk all over him and it just made me sad.
Whenever I thought Gabe would finally come to his senses, grow up and apologize, it just got worse. Honestly, my jaw was on the floor (Valentines Day) and I just don't understand why you would make an already unlikeable character basically kill himself with such actions. There was no coming back for him - no tragic backstory makes up for that.

Dylan deserved better. :(

(Also, I doesn't help that I came from "Will & Patrick wake up married" to this book. If you want well rounded characters with interesting backstorys and ACTUAL character development, great wit and lots of kinky sex, read that - it's awesome.)

Ok, so I'm writing the review after I've finished the two other books, and I'll confess I like Gabe better in the other books as a side character.

I don't know. There were just some points while reading where I was like... "Ehmmm no actually. Your whole personality seems like a red flag, please talk to a therapist."

But knowing why he is like that helps. Still, if I ever were to meet a person like him in real life you'd see me running away SO FAST, cause NU UH.

Disregarding this, he does redeem himself in the end. It's a cute read, and it helps that Dylan doesn't take shit from him.

Dylan is great. Gabe is an idiot.

I really enjoyed the fun banter for most of the book, but I couldn't really understand or connect with Gabe. Towards the end, he became almost a different person entirely. I couldn't quite go along with it without rolling my eyes a bit. Overall though, I actually did enjoy reading this book quite a bit.

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, fun read.

even though we were not there from the moment they met their connection showed. i’ve seen ppl call this enemies to lovers but it’s more banter than anything else. gabe can be inlikabke at times and it makes sense why he was they he was. all in all this was fun.

4.25 stars, rounded down.

All of the amazing snark and banter one might expect from Lily Morton, which was great fun (Also, Joel Leslie is amazing as always on the audiobook). As much as I loved the Finding Home series, though, Dylan and Gabe didn't grab me as a couple. I think maybe it was because I disliked Gabe so much that his redemption arc seemed a bit pat.

Also, I want to know what I need to do to have six-pack abs without ever setting foot in a gym, because seriously WTF?
