Luscious artwork and a great story. A must have for my middle/high school library.

I was engaged with this story the whole time! I really enjoyed the worldbuilding and set up of this story...you really get a good idea of how their world works. I absolutely adore the characters Poppy and Cyrenic like they are so damn adorable! The concept of a sleepless knight was truly interesting and god the conflict was intense. Poor Poppy ;0; I am excited to read the next volume and see how this concludes!

3.5 stars. It was nice to enjoy a graphic novel for a change. I think I'll check out the next one since the ending was very abrupt.

Diversity is good.
Concept is decent.
Artwork didn't appeal to me.
Execution was too straight-forward and dull.

Amazing

This graphic novel takes the elements of the renaissance and uses them to build this wonderful world. With varying views on the world and the systems that control it. The diversity of the cast is also amazing. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!

I really enjoyed this graphic novel in two volumes. I loved the fantasy setup, the sleepless magic element, and the court intrigue. This could be a great movie. It reminded me a bit of game of thrones, with the knights and different political/religious groups and the court politics. The art style is gorgeous. Highly recommend!
