Perhaps it's the audio format, which I have yet to truly learn to fully concentrate on, or perhaps it was the story itself, but I didn't feel like much happened. I miss the Raven Boys gang, and though I enjoyed the first book, I'm not really gelling with the characters in this series, not even Ronan at times.

OK BUT I DIDN'T SEE ALL OF THAT COMING.

I have... questions. Many. This book is a mindfuck. My biggest question is, what the hell does any of this have to do with the whole Glendower, ancient sleeping kings, etc... it feels related, but I can't bridge the gap yet.

Also it's weird how little Adam is in this book. Like... I get why Gansey and Blue aren't because they're in Oregon being ecoterrorists or whatever, but Adam is here, and can be present, and... isn't? Or Ronan isn't letting him be... I dunno. This is a very different series from the Gangsey days -- and in a way, that's sort of the point.

Jordan Hennessy was art in front of art in a room that was art in a building that was art in a life that was art, and Declan told himself he had only come here to get his car back.

WHAT THE FUCKKKKK
