I did like this book and I liked that it was a FF romance as well. We have one character that is for sure bisexual or multi-sexual of some kind with the other character it is a little unclear if she is just lesbian or bi as well. The story is also very serious and is one of the darker-toned stories in the Dark Olympus series for sure. The romance does move fast but as in Mrs. Roberts's way the characters knowledge that fact themselves and it make the story so much more reasonable. I think if you miss out on this you don't really miss anything but if you do get to read it. It definitely enhances the series as a whole especially with Poseidon's story coming out soon.

[DO NOT READ THIS BOOK FIRST!] - just go into the first book and travel back to this one if you want because this book wasn't all that great and I don't want you to have a bad start when you start this series, it's actually pretty good if you just take it as it is

This book was fine. Nothing crazy. I read the first three books in this series and I had no idea this novella insisted so I decided to read it before I got into "radiant sin" just to get myself back into the world considering some time has passed since I read the third book. Plus I thought it would be a fun little read considering it was so short. Again it was just fine. I didn't love it by any means, but it most definitely wasn't my favorite which is crazy considering I've rated the first three books 4.5/5 and above. I just didn't enjoy this one. The writing wasn't the best and I just found the whole sequence of events to be utterly ridiculous. And I know these books are meant to be junk food fun time reads, but I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to enjoy this one. They literally fall in love in less than 24 hours after having sex once. What?! Their "romance" just wasn't believable. Like Medusa was literally trying to kill Calypso a few hours ago. And Medusa's character was just so contradictory to what the author was trying to portray her out to be. The whole thing just wasn't feasible to me. I'm not an insta love hater, but this book took it to a completely different level. I hope this is the worst it gets for the series. I hope it doesn't go downhill considering I hear "radiant sin" isn't everyone's favorite. But we'll see! Also, I hear Medusa comes up in "midnight ruin" (the 6th book), now although I haven't read that yet, I seriously don't think it's necessary to read this book if you don't feel like you want to.

I get it's a novella but I wish it was longer. I hope to see these two again in the next books!

Stone Heart is a good prequel. I chose to read this before starting Neon God's, book 1 in the Dark Olympus series. I am looking forward to reading the official first book: Katee's writing style is easy to read and not cringey or cliché. Medusa and Calypso are complex characters that I hope are part of the rest of the series.
