At first I thought that all the reviews crying about knots were from fools reading their first shifter novel, little offline babes lost in the woods who've never even peeped at a single omegaverse fanfic in the decade(s) since the first few brave writers put fingers to keys and said, "Let there be slick." Honestly though, one thing that did actually bother me was the protagonist’s disgust and shame toward eating food. It’s written as part of her culture and physiology to reject solid food in favor of blood (which is drunk in private), but her feelings on it personally reminded me of disordered eating.

3.5/5 Ali yet again bringing ao3 fanfic to published book form but I'm not mad about it. Another cute romance with a fun cast of characters featuring supernatural flair this time and a bit more mystery.
