Good little short(I actually listened to the audiobook). Uses an urban myth as a backdrop and while I suspected how the story would end I did not expect the involvement of certain characters. Nice little misdirect from the author.

Urban legend says that the mole people live underneath New York City. They come up to the surface through the subways late at night waiting for the right moment to snatch people for their underground society. But it’s just a legend. Or is it?

Well, I’ve never been on a subway before, but I’m not sure I want to ride one now. I guess I’d be ok during the day. If I need to ride one at night, I’ll just be sure to do it in the early evening. At the very least I would avoid the last car. On second thought, I think I’ll just take a cab. Or maybe avoid New York altogether.
