I cannot speak highly enough about this series! I was hooked from the start and this has quickly become one series I will boost and get others to read!!
I absolutely LOVE Lia's character. She is everything I want in my FL. She's smart, impulsive, brave, strong, empathetic, vulnerable, big hearted, passionate, fierce, bold, quick tonged, and beautiful. She makes mistakes but learns from them. She's brave but vulnerable. She loves hard and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect those she cares for and that doesn't only include her inner circle but for everyone. She's morally grey when she needs to be and that is one of my fav traits (maybe that shows what kind of person I am lol).
This book has EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING. You want revenge, check. You want war, check. You want love, check. You want to jump in the book and smack people around a bit, check! You want to laugh, cry, scream - check, check check! Edge of your seat battles that leaves you wondering who will make it out alive, check! And believe me I teared up at the end. I laughed at the end. My heart was beating so hard lol! Emilia does a great job cracking your heart then putting it back together and she nailed it with this finale! She does a great job making you feel all the feels each character on the page puts out and I don't say that lightly. I mean, I even - FOR A VERY BRIEF MOMENT - felt bad for the Queen.... very brief lol. I loved the side characters and their growth throughout the whole series, it was honestly so well written that I felt complete at the end.
3 books was the perfect amount for the series but I do hope we get more. Maybe side character novella or something but I think this trilogy was amazing!
"Never and Always" - love this so much!

This was the perfect conclusion to a stunning trilogy! It wrapped up the series so beautifully and I had such a fun time in this world.
I loved the way Lia grew into her role as Queen. It wasn't easy and she made questionable choices sometimes, but showing these struggles made her seem so realistic. She truly came from nothing, to then be the ruler of the world. She still also appreciated her roots and didn't let her power go to her head. She stayed level-headed and was fighting for justice and fairness for her people. She really grew into being a just ruler and I adored seeing her realise her potential. This strengthened her character and added the depth for me to be able to emotionally connect with her. Jace in this one was the absolute best. The way he supported Lia endlessly, and without question really spoke of how much he loved her. He didn't question her or her plans. He may have disagreed with her plans at times, but he approached it calmly and didn't ever question her motivations. He knew she would do anything to fight for her people and to get retribution for those she lost. Her revenge became his, and they fought so well together to get this. This just shows the depth of their love and connection and the strength in which they trusted one another. Yes, this would in part be due to the mating bond, but the author conveyed that sense of love and trust that already existed between them. It was just beautiful to see them come together and use their combined powers for good. We also got to explore more of the side characters in their role in the war. I loved seeing Avery and Gage's connection deepen, as well as Veli and Zaela's. I loved how Veli's character was deepened through the major role she played in the war. It was just really great found family vibes and I love how it ended with everyone getting their happy endings. The characters just really made you feel so warm and light and it was truly a beautiful series to read.
The writing is also what made this book and series so wonderful. She was able to convey such deep emotions and connections between the characters that you then feel them yourself. There were moments I was tearing up and ones where I was so angry, because that's what was being detailed in the book. This could only happen because the author was able to strike such outstanding connections between the characters and the reader. She is also able to build up an amazing world where everything flows and honestly feels real. It fit into the nature of the book and the way things were described felt as if you were actually there. I think she also has a true skill at describing battle scenes so accurately. To the point where they feel legit and real, but also aren't boring or stagnant. As someone who is not that well versed in battle scenes, it has to capture my attention and intrugue which this did. It takes true writing skill to achieve this balance. I also loved how I did not know what was going to happen next. Their were twists and turns in this one that I didn't expect, as well as people that just wouldn't die! It was kind of annoying at first, but it made the final death so freaking good. This prolonging of the end and the tension was so well executed and had me turning those pages so fast.
Overall, I loved being in this world and whilst I'm sad it's over, I'm happy these wonderful characters get to live in peace in my mind and heart forever!

Such a good ending to this trilogy!! The romance between multiple characters, the POVs for the villains, it was all done so well!! I felt good and completed at the end of this story, although I do know I will be missing these characters for a long time to come 🩵✨
What a great conclusion to an amazing trilogy! I am so sad to say goodbye to these characters. I really loved so many of them in this trilogy. This was a fitting send off to them with plenty of action and emotion. Lia gets to really flex her muscles here as the rightful heir to the throne and we get to see Avery and Finnian find their place outside of the castle they have been sheltered in their whole lives. One of my favorite parts of this series is how likable all of the side characters are and they all get great development in this book! Emilia is a queen at expertly writing villain POV’s. She made me absolutely loathe the villains in this series unlike any other.
This was a great conclusion to a really fun series. If you are looking for your next epic fantasy adventure then check this series out for sure!

A perfect ending to an amazing trilogy!
One thing I’ve loved about this series is a look into the villains perspectives. Having POV chapters from Idina were really interesting! While it doesn’t justify their actions it really does give the readers a deeper sense of why these people are doing what they are doing.
I liked the growth that we saw in Avery in this book as well. The characters continued to grow and learned from mistakes which was nice to see.
The ending was predictable and I enjoyed the first two books more which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall it was still a great book and a fun read!

The perfect ending for this trilogy.
A lot more action and mythical creatures in this one! So definitely my favourite of the three books.
Great world building and character development. I enjoyed listening to this adventure.

This ending book was longer and slower paced at times than I expected; however, definitely worth the read
The ending was literally riding off into the sunset. Living happily ever after. Lol
