I'm addicted. Got home with In Enemy Hands and I just had to sit down and read to find out what happens next in the Alliance-Peeps war.
Jesus, talk about intense and very emotional...I hate having to wait until the next book.

The series comes back strong with this one; I could barely put it down. Very exciting, and with a whole family of empath treecats introduced as a bonus :D

I enjoyed this installment of the series a great deal, of other reasons than the previous books. It was good for character development to see Honor and her "select companions" deal with adversity. It also kept Honor from being too much of the Milkmaid of Destiny. When a character, however good, never faces defeat or adversity it weakens the story for me.
Weber continues to put human faces (good and bad) on the PN and the Committee for Public Safety.

This is my boyfriends favorite in the series, and I can see why. Honor is such a force, the honor and fortitude this woman has really is to be admired. And the loyalty she inspires is breathtaking.
