Evangeline Priest has written some of my favorite monster short stories so I was thrilled when I received an ARC for A Cherry On Top.

+ Size Difference
+ Protective MMC
+ Aphrodisiac-enhanced fun

A Cherry On Top is a short, action packed yet sweet monster story. Dean is a hitman dragon who, like clockwork, catches his order every night at Ma Cherie while he hopes to catch a bit of conversation with the chef he harbors a crush on. However, concern grows as his meal is not as it usually is tonight and he comes head to head with the cause for Cherry's sour mood.

Dean (H), a dragonkin professional killer, enjoys creating his bloody-artwork and dining at a fine restaurant, owned by chef Cherry (h). He’s not pleased when thugs show up to shake Cherry down for money her ex, Brady, owes their client. The protective male will do whatever needs to be done when she’s abducted. Their relationship may have been slow to start with but Cherry’s endangerment seems to move things into high gear in this dragon shifter romantic quickie with a side of heat.

This was a fun, quick, and entertaining read filled with traitors, lessons, hitmen, and chefs. Where danger is just what they need to finally realize they are just what they need to be happy.

Dean is a professional dragonkin hitman who enjoys leaving behind bloody artwork and dining at Ma Chérie. Especially his food and spice discussions with the owner, and chef Cherry. The moment he realizes that Cherry's restaurant and her well-being are being threatened with debts that belong to her ex, he's quick to get involved. What starts out as just mere conversations between two food lovers turn into so much more.
