I was originally apprehensive about Grace being so young and Aiden being her step uncle.
This was more of a slow/medium burn which helped ease into the steam with su h a young FMC.
This book explored more BDSM than Margot's other books.

It was a great build up, could of been better but then it went down hill and was a bit too dramatic.

Grace's parents died in a house fire, so she goes to live under the care of her father's step brother. She has never met him, but I am pretty sure he is the same age as her father was?? Anyways, she's 17 and can't be on her own until she is 18. So she gets to her house and is like "HELLO, Mr. Salt and Pepper."
He's like.. "I can't have a thing for my late step brother's daughter??"
So yeah, this was crazy and I was here for it.
They end up agreeing to a sort of Dom/sub dynamic. Where he would give her 'mundane' tasks to do, like her homework, eat, etc. This kind of fed into mutual desire without crossing any lines. But of course we always want more, and we get more.
However, Aiden (our Hero) has a rule of no sex with his subs because when he was first entering this life, he messed up with his sub and doesn't want to cross that line again. So he tries his best to keep the D/s non sexual and separate from Aiden and Grace.
Example, if they weren't scening, they would be in his bed. But if they were scening, the would be elsewhere.
But what would this be, if it weren't for an antics?? So our Hero, Aiden, has a son that is the same age as Grace and has been in a bit of trouble. Aiden wants to help him, but it's hard to help someone who hates you??

He is technically her guardian but step-uncle by marriage, so this forbidden age-gap romance is very naughty. The addition of a D/s relationship adds the heat. There is mystery and intrigue of supporting characters that keep the story flowing and add interest beyond the romance dynamic. All in all, a very well written book and was perfect for bedtime reading.

Really enjoyed this book and finished it in one sitting as it’s not super long. I wished there was more to it!
I loved the overall premise of this story and felt that the tension was well-built which is something I always appreciate. Any book with strong D/S themes also gets points from me (not just “yeah the MMC is super rough”- actual D/S) as they’re hard to find. I liked the development of both the MCs over this book as well.
The pacing does get a bit off further in and the ending is a bit over the top, but neither took away from my enjoyment, this was a fun read!
