This was indescribable and I have no words right now. I loved this so much it captivated me and made me finish this series as fast as possible.
Though my ratings are always generous I rarely ever give a book 5 stars but for this series it’s worth it.

The structure reminded me of a tv series like the way things happened and everything felt more like it’s common in tv as in books.

The whole situation made me veeery nervous a lot of times. So for me this definitely wasn’t a chill read but an emotionally extremely demanding one.

As I said I don’t have any words right now for the whole story except for how incredible it is and how much I loved it.

Near the ending there is a time jump to three months later which made me want to throw the book across the room. This was the first moment I did not like reading the book, yet it was important for the plot and characters to have those three months of uncertainty.

The author manages to make you feel every emotion. Not one second through this journey was I bored or easily distracted, which often is a problem for me. My concentration was always one hundred percent with the characters and as everything began to come to end I was so nervous desperately hoping for a good ending.

The cover and title absolutely don't do this books justice.
I feel like I have never read something like this, it was amazing, a real page turner (read all 5 in a day lol).
I loved Lana and Logan's relationship, and the story was well thought out (a show of it would be amazing) !
It is very dark so check the trigger warnings but I definitely recommend.

This series was definitely not what I was expecting. It swept me off my feet and completely hooked me.

Okay wow - this series was SO GOOD! 😳

First things first:
Neither the covers (def. winners for the ugly cover awards 💀), the synopsis or the title does this series justice. Seeing this on I shelf? I NEVER would have picked it up!

It‘s a story about a serial killer dating an FBI agent 🕵🏼‍♂️ yes, it’s 100 % as exciting as it sounds. It took „book 1“ for me to get into it, but then I was hooked. The Storytelling is excellent and it’s one of the rare occasions I liked a dual POV. This is a  hidden gem if you like crime/FBI stories 💎

Before reading, check the trigger warnings, it’s very graphic and violent.

This series is definitely not for the faint of heart. Personally, I had to occasionally skip or shy away for certain torturous chapters; Lana is ruthless. Despite the gore, which has always been difficult for me to stomach, I loved and understood Lana's character. In the words of Lady Gaga 'I do not believe in the glorification of murder, but I do believe in the empowerment of women' and that is what Lana does. She defies societal norms by beating serial killers, rapists and murders in fights, as she should. Even the FBI thought their suspect was a man, not trusting that a woman would be capable of horrors, but there is one this worst than a humiliated man; a nasty woman. This brings us to Logan, who admittedly disappointed me in the last book, even though I can understand how he felt betrayed. I liked Logan overall, and how he wasn't afraid to finally stand up for Lana as well as break free from the wishes of his supervisors; he was not a doormat. The ending was slightly unbelievable but I enjoyed it so I'm choosing to ignore the lack of realism.
