Characters were fantastic and complicated. The story was completely absorbing.  Parts were a little graphic but I had a hard time putting it down.

Chaotic dark fun. I was so invested in this series, and I'm so happy I finally jumped in. It wasn't perfect, but it was a darn good time.

Some of the expounding about souls was a bit too much in places, and I didn't love his reaction in the cabin cause wow what a terrible move, but otherwise, this series was addictive, fast-paced, and a wild ride. I was giving her a standing ovation everytime a man was murdered, because what the actual f is wrong with that town, holy heck.

Cathartic story supporting women's wrongs. Loved it.

The male love interest displays toxic masculinity through throwing things when upset, etc. He

has hate sex with her without letting her know he’s upset first. Making the consent of the situation very shaky. He then leaves her handcuffed to the bed naked. For some reason, the author pretends this would not be a trigger for the woman killing people who raped her (among other things)

. Despite his flaws and actions he is revered as morally perfect repeatedly, even after the events.

Okay okayyyyy it was good. It was a quick read to get some books finished. I do feel like the series could’ve been 3 books and it would’ve been fine. It did have a great plot and romance portion but I feel like I was expecting SO much going into this I was pretty let down… needed more spice. needed more dark romance. But maybe it’s just me lol. I had a hard time connecting with the clients but enjoyed it overall.
