If you love mysteries and whodunnits, you will love this modern story! This was such a fun take on the classic "locked room" "it's one of us" mysteries.

Ernest "Ern" Cunningham is the narrator, telling us the story about his family reunion weekend. He will keep you engaged throughout as he throws in his witty remarks about what is going on. Ernest is also a writer and knows all the tropes and scenes to be expected in this type of book, so he happily lets us know how he will subvert those expectations but how sometimes the true story really hits all the classic beats.

At the ski resort, most didn't want to go to, they are about to welcome home Michael (Ernest's brother) from prison. When a body is discovered, their ski vacation takes a turn. They know it has to be linked to them, they are Cunningham's after all but no one recognizes the victim... Family secrets are shared, discovered and dug up; sides are taken and everyone is a suspect.

I don't want to go into any more detail since this is a murder mystery and I want there still to be mystery for you.

Would have enjoyed it more if I had read the physical book instead of listening to its audiobook version. Did not enjoy the Spotify edition narrator
