Ok this was captivating the entire time. It held my attention to the very end. But that’s where my problem came. I actually got attached to the characters. Which I normally don’t let myself do in horror/thrillers. Because it doesn’t always end well for them or me. But this time I just couldn’t help it. These characters I found that by the end of the book I had fallen in love with them and hadn’t even realized. That last line is so killer…literally. Like my jaw dropped and I got goosebumps. It was heartbreaking though because my favorite character ended up being the murderer. I guessed that this one guy was the murderer and throughout the book I had suspicions about multiple people but by the end I never would have expected that my favorite character had been the one murdering everyone. It also gave us no closure. The last line is shocking and brilliant but left us wondering what actually happened. Which left me unsatisfied. But that’s just me, I like happy endings and when they can’t be one I like to know exactly what happened. However a lot of people don’t have a problem with this type of ending so it could just be me. The ending in terms of thrillers was brilliant because I can admit I was not expecting anything that happened in that last chapter let alone last page! Which is why I feel so bad about only giving this 3 stars but u can’t help it because the ending made me sad, confused, and wanting more. The book was truly a good read and if this is your genre you will probably love this one. Just make sure you catch yourself before becoming connected to the characters. T
