ASIIMOV PREDICTED PRONOUNS

“All humanity could share a common insanity and be immersed in a common illusion while living in a common chaos. That can't be dis-proved, but we have no choice but to follow our senses."

The end of the book gives you whiplash 3 different ways in a good way

Argh! Just about good enough at the end to make me want to read the next one to find out how this infernal series ends. This book could have been a third as long. Whilst there remain some interesting and enjoyable points, these are sadly interspersed with long stretches of unnecessary padding, or the characters re-explaining obvious points to each-other.

2.5 stars rounded up.

Strongest Foundation novel yet. There's always a common theme of planning, strategizing, and diplomacy, and those elements are woven together expertly here. Made me want to start on the final book in the series.

It's hard to say whether I feel this way because Foundation's Edge is my most recent trip into Asimov's world, or if it truly is the best story, but: This is Asimov's best.
