really enjoyable and perfect for a lighter read in spooky season. i loved the characters and the world. some parts made me feel like i needed to be taking notes, but not in a bad way.

This is more of a collection of short stories centered around a small group of government bureaucrats. They stories are in temporal order, so there is a more cohesive accounting of the department's adventures. It's generally a more light-hearted feel, though it does get more serious towards the end. Since it takes place in a small town, there is more interaction outside of work than you might find in larger cities. Anyway, it was an enjoyable portfolio of short stories.
