"Heart Bones" by @colleenhoover
This read had my heartstrings pulled so tight. Seeing two people coming from such dark, lonely places moving into such a light, loving, place is so heartwarming.
This story shows such a strong love built between two very broken people. It shows their process of putting all their broken pieces back together and fitting in extra pieces of the other person. Fitting together for life, in heart and soul.
"What fills the holes in a soul?"
"Pieces of someone else's soul."
The journey through this read had some unexpected turns and twists, but ultimately ended in a strong, solid, love.
Grab some tissues and take a cruise though this wonderful story.
"Don't worry. Hearts don't have bones.
They can't actually break'
'If there's nothing inside a heart that can break, why does it feel like mine is going to snap in half when it's time for me to move next month? Does vour heart not feel like that?'
'Yeah' he whispers.
'It does. Maybe we both grew heart bones!"

Nice easy summer read.

.... oh man I am just not a CoHo fan despite all the signs pointing me her way...
There really is a formula here “....wait for- big secret tragedy!” and yet I tried again with Heart Bones.
I did like the main characters - yes they were broken and sad and lonely and secretive. Echoes of Archer’s voice. The passion and romance part I thought was seriously flat. Snooze. Obviously it was clear there was A BIG SECRET brewing. This was a bit sappy and unrealistic but I love seeing a HEA and glad that poor girl ended up with a nice family!
I think I can say, despite all of GR movements, I am done with CoHo. I get what’s happening and it’s just not for me. Too blah too basic too manipulative too expected.
