God damn, there is just not one Colleen Hoover that is bad. I loved this, and this really got me out of my reading slump, I just couldn't put it down. This book hurted so much because I kinda could relate to Beyah but I feel so proud :') thanks for messing with me again.

tbh i even think this book is so underrated and is even better than it ends with us????

I was wary about reading a Colleen Hoover book just based on what I’ve heard, but was pleasantly surprised! The whole body image issues for Sara felt sort forced and not essential to the plot, if I’m being honest. There were a lot times when I felt the book to be basic and cliché, for sure. The second half, especially the last quarter or so was so much better. Was it perfect? No. But was it still a beautiful story? Absolutely.

Absolutely loved this book! It was very touching in so many aspects and just so beautiful.

Beyah comes from a life of poverty and neglect. When her mother dies of an overdose, she goes to live with her father who she barely knows. Once there, she feels an immediate attraction to Samson, the handsome guy next door. Beyah recognises something in him that makes her think they are kindred spirits. Before the summer is over, all their secrets will be revealed to one another.

I loved the main characters in this book and fought for them until the end. I’m so glad that Beyah and Samson got their happy ending!

I loved Beyah and Samson - 2 broken people who came together. This book broke my heart a little and then put it back together. I suppose it's right when they say that damaged people recognise other damaged people.
