HOT TAKE: my favorite colleen hoover book!!!!
it’s unique, it’s sweet, and it’s not talked about a lot
- therefore, can’t be overrated -

Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

This book was so wholesome, Colleen did it again! I can’t explain how much it broke my heart and then put it back together, to then just break it again and finally arriving to that ending. I have too many emotions right now to write a coherent review, but this book is magic!

Coho really never disappoints. I had to take a break from reading her books because I didn’t want to get burnt out so this is the first one I’ve read in 6 months or so but it was so good. The ending was rushed but her books are usually short and sweet.

Loved from page 1.

Talk about heavy with some romance thrown in this book was a lot of heavy events together but wrapped up with a lot of very human emotional. All of these books add a metric ton of trauma and horrific past events and I don’t understand what it adds.

For reasons that I don't understand, everybody seems to like this book.
I mean, it was fine, just not for me. I get that the romance is supposed to be, like, a summer fling, but I didn't feel a strong connection between Beyah and Samson. Also Beyah was kind of annoying. So was Samson.
I feel like CoHo could have done better with this one.
2 stars.

-so the saying is true? Money doesn't buy happiness?

-you can fill your life with nice things, but nice things doesn't fill the holes in your soul.

-what fill the holes in a soul?

-pieces of someone else's soul.
