I really liked this book, definitely too 5 Colleen Hoover books, maybe top 3. I read it quick, and loved the characters and emotional growth they both sad, happy tears
A solid, compelling, need to know what happens CoHo book. After a few just okay/slightly disappointing novels, this was great to get me out of that slump.
Pretty typical Hoover romance, so in true fashion, I was here for it.

Wow. Definitely a fav CoHo. You’re immediately immersed in the plot and I was hooked by the first few pages.
Good, emotional, you feel with the characters, deep FMC is 19, she loves with her mom who does drugs and dies soon. So she moves to Texas to her dad, but has a hard time to acclimate to a rich family. Her stepsister is especially welcoming. She also meets MMC who welcomes her and let’s her feel herself and believes in her. But when she opened up more he becomes more secretive and soon he is getting arrested and has to serve 4 years in jail, because he lied about his parents and lived in a house, which doesn’t belong to him. During the four years FMC goes to college, but still loves him and in the end she picks him up from jail and they tell each other that they love each other and FMC has a good relationship with her father.
fast-paced
4.5 Stars! This book tugged on my heart so much. I just wanted to hug Beyah! I also wanted a little update after like Colleen why you leave us hanging like that???
Stopped at Chapter 17, I'd give it 2.25 stars only cause the intro was good, but after that it went downhill I'm so disappointed but not shocked after all the warnings about the authors writing. That's a good 4 hours I'll never get back.
Just finished Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover in one sitting! Fast-paced, no unnecessary info, but full of twists! Loved the plot and the unexpected turns! Highly recommend diving into this captivating story!
Read the whole book in one plane ride from NYC to Cancun. Couldn’t put it down!
“I wonder what kind of upbringing is worse for a human. The kind where you’re sheltered and loved to the point that you aren’t aware of how cruel the world can be until it’s too late to acquire the necessary coping skills, or the kind of household I grew up in. The ugliest version of a family, where coping is the only thing you learn.”
Beyah Grim has lived a pretty sad life. From a very young age she has learned to fend for herself due to her mother being an addict. All she's known for years is a life of extreme poverty. Her relationship with her father is strained and they barely ever speak. The only thing she has going for herself is that she's just a few short months away from the future that she has been working so hard for. However, due to an unexpected tragedy, Beyah finds herself with no place to stay and has no other option than to reach out to her dad in hopes that she can stay with him for the summer. Once she gets to the summer beach house, Beyhah tries to keep to herself but after meeting the step sister she never knew she had, life takes a turn when she's introduced to Samson.
This is a story about two damaged young adults, that find comfort in each others broken souls while enjoying a short summer together. Although not one of my favorite COHO books, Heart Bones still captured me from beginning to end. Rating this one at 3.5, rounding up to 4 stars.
