Just in time for the Olympics, this takes place over the course of two days, following the stories of 6 Olympic hopefuls as they compete at the gymnastic Olympic Trials. The characters were diverse and interesting, mixing flashbacks with current action, as well as exploring what it means to be a friend, a competitor, and how to balance life along the way. Good for grades 7+.

Grace, Leigh, Camille, Wilhelmina and Monica are 5 gymnasts and friends who are currently battling it out for the top spots for the US Olympic team. Who will succeed and who will fail? Read this fast-paced book to find out!

I devoured this book. Being a former gymnast, I love everything about gymnastics. I'm glad Caela Carter dug deep into the depths of elite gymnastics and saw how nasty it can get. I connected with all the characters and felt like I knew each one well. Carter did a great job representing a wide range of diversity. I deeply resonated with Grace, struggling with anorexia myself. Heck, I would read a book focused on her and her recovery. I'm not sure why, but something about the book bothered me, hence the 3 stars. It needed something, but I just can't pinpoint it. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a quick read.

2.5/5. Empieza bien, pero al final hay demasiado drama adolescente que no me termina de convencer. Aún así, la forma de distribución de los capítulos, por ejemplo, me ha gustado.
