I reread this book this year while trying to find a good book to gift my cousin for her birthday. This is definitely a great book for her, I hope she will read it and find the inspiration in it that I did :)

A great book for both princess lovers and haters. Love the ending.

Let's remind girls that they're smarter than they're told they are!

Christmas is a great day to read childhood favourites, and this is for sure one of my faves!

Best book EVER for girls and women!
adventurous funny inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

Bought this as a gift for a shower. Obviously, I had to re-read it. I forgot how much I loved this book. Truly a feminist classic 🤣

I thought this would be a little too long for Iris, but she LOVES it and always ask "One more time?" when after the last page. I loved it as a kid and it's held up surprisingly well. Really great illustrations, too.

As a mother to 2 young girls who are currently very princess obsessed. You can imagine how exciting it was to finally find a princess that doesn't need rescuing. Gone are the days of princesses who only want to accomplish marrying their "prince charming". Princess Elizabeth is a strong and resilient princess who is also very clever and brave. She outsmarts a dragon to rescue her prince and future husband. However, after Prince Ronald shows his true colors and is unappreciative of all that she did for him she isn't afraid to value herself and kick him to the curb. You should hear the cheers in our house every time we reach the end and Princess Elizabeth calls Ronald a bum! I love sharing this story over and over again with my young girls as a leading example of all the characteristics I hope for them. Princess Elizabeth is strong, brave, smart, clever, and confident. She is a TRUE PRINCESS!

SO GOOD! I wish this was there when I was a kid.

A wonderful story, important one, for the princess obsessed girl.
