Acá se traslada la historia del Príncipe y el mendigo, tomando a una actriz famosa, y una chica que cree que no es nadie, y llevándolas a cambiar de lugar por unos días. Y bueno, no hay nada más que darle la bienvenida a mi nuevo Crush literario, Ethan. Lo amamos, es todo lo que está bien y no acepto críticas.
Me divertí un montón leyendo este libro, realmente si buscan salir de un bloqueo lector, como me pasó a mí, lean este libro!

Awwwww, that was a sweet love letter to the power of fandom and the way that loving a fictional universe can bring a lot of joy into one’s life. Filled with lots of great fandom Easter eggs, fun cameos from Geekerella, and so much heart.

I remember that right after reading Geekerella I was like "this is the best contemporary novel I've ever read", but somehow during the last year the novel disappeared from my mind a little, until the talk about the second book came up. I felt that excitement rushing through my veins and I decided to just preorder the book, with the plan to read it when it came in. It became a few weeks later, but damn, I do regret that now.
I'm not sure if it was my state of mind, the fact that I'm tired, the full moon coming up or anything else. But this book made me incredibly emotional. I cried so much, but not because it was sad or because it was bad. I cried because this story captured me and the things that are important to me so very well.
Both main characters are struggling with issues that are all too familiar to me: Having the feeling that they're never good enough or even that they're a nobody. And dealing with comments from the crowd and opinions of others. And the way they handled it and talked about it hit so close to home that it sometimes was as if I was reading about me, especially in the case of Imogen.
And on top of that: The book is like a serenade to Nerd Culture and how amazing and beautiful it can be. It's clearly written by someone who knows the feeling, who knows how important a tv series, a character, a book or a fandom can be. And no, not just the pretty parts of fandom made it into the book. The bad sides of fandom did too and that made it feel so real and raw and pure.
I think that maybe I like this book even better than Geekerella, because this book felt like a love letter to girls like me and like a promise that there are guys out there who can fall in love with girls like me. With their entire Hufflepuff hearts.

I didn't read this book, I suffered through it.
I honestly think this was bad. I don’t want to be mean, but this was just not it. Apart from being VERY cringy (and I mean very, VERY CRINGY) it lacked originality. I know it was a retelling but every retelling still should have a little something that makes It different, more interesting but I think this book was just a mash up of everything you’ve seen before way too many times. I would not recommend this book.
I enjoyed Geekerella, in fact the only parts that I liked of The Princess and The Fangirl were the ones that Elle, Darien and Sage were mentioned but this book to me was different. I didn't even enjoy the characters at all. I think Imogen was the most self-absorbed and annoying character I can remember; she is the kind of fangirl that makes some fandoms so toxic. When it comes to Jess, I think the book would have been at least 10 chapters shorter if she stopped repeating the same complain over and over and over and over and over.
Harper was cool though. I liked her.

This was a cute book. I don’t particularly enjoy the hate at first sight as a trope and this book had a lot of that. I also think the continued hate brought a weird energy to a lot of the interactions in the book. But the story was fun. I enjoyed the convention being the setting for the whole book. The interactions with the characters from the first book were cute and not overwhelming which I appreciated. Also, I think Monster is my new favourite nickname.

Agh I can’t express how badly I want to experience a Con. For now this book series has me preparing for what to expect. (besides the non real people and locations) I love this series and how it loosely follows this fandom and incorporates new people that ultimately tie into one another. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.
