Annelise and Phillip
1 sex scene
Novella length

A very sweet story of a married couple strengthening their relationship after 25 years of Phillip working as a navel captain and Annelise having to be a single mother most of the time.

A really adorable and sweet novella about a marriage of convenience turning into a marriage of love 20+ years later.

(Just as an aside: I would really love to know what happens to Beth and Mr. Ramsgate - if anything!)

Older couple

Great Christmas novella. This story features an older couple who have been married for quite some time. Because the husband was always out at sea, they are seemingly strangers.
I thought the premise behind this novella was intriguing. The story felt very realistic and relatable. I loved the team work between the husband and wife.
As a lover of historical romance novels, I felt this story lacked a few things I look forward to while reading this genre. Although the slow, torturous burn was there, I felt like some more fire was needed. Definitely am interested in reading a more full length novel from this author.

Very nice novella with second chance HEA for long married empty nesters. Enjoyed it very much!

A holdover Christmas novella from last year’s Fated Mates recommendations. It was good but I’m capping the seasonal reads and moving on to the enormous stacks of library books on my nightstand.

Super cute and a tad angsty, I loved the bite-sized length bc my attention span rn is absolutely SHOT, but I definitely would’ve read a full book of this story. I wanted to see even more tension and pining between the two because it was delicious, but even still, it worked really well as a novella. I’m hesitant to read book two because the guy is courting someone else (her cousin!!!)…but it’s only 120 pages so how long can that truthfully go on??? I love Liana’s writing so much.

4.5 stars.

A marriage in trouble/second change between a couple long estranged. The MMC is not only working to fix the damage with his wife, but also with his adult daughter.

Couldn’t give it 5 because I really wanted a villain to get justice. Maybe in the next book??

What happens when the romance in a marriage of convenience gets delayed many years? The most soft, tender, respectful love story that's what
