This was genuinely the most thought provoking book I have ever read. I want to buy it and read it over and over again so I can truly process and internalize his words.

At a loss when reviewing these kinds of books. I connected with much of his thinking. I am sad that things haven't changed much for black people in this country, especially black men. If only the unenlightened white folk could get over themselves, let go of the (ha) 400-500 years of brainwashing designed to justify the enslavement of others...Well, tribalism doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon. White privilege is continually rewarded, so it isn't going away. So, Baldwin's delicate hope is dashed. Mine is as well.
