Even with its abrupt ending, this book is an amazing read to anyone who wishes to know the real person behind the Marilyn Monroe phenomena. You get to meet her by her own thoughts, the actual talented legend herself behind a sex symbol myth. An amazing read!!

I loved it and I wanted more. I fully intend on reading another biography about her, however I felt like it was best to start with her own words.
I'm so sorry for how the world has treated you Marilyn. Rest in peace.

A must read for marilyn fans or even people intrigued by her. Such a heartbreaking story and misunderstood woman. I loved hearing marilyn’s story in her own words from her own perspective. Even though she never finished writing her story, I feel like I know her personally after reading this. I wish the book was longer, just like her life.

I love that the manuscript was written BY her. I didn't like that it ended abruptly (which I knew) so I just wish it had kept going. It ends around the time she began to visit troops overseas.

So this book has some cool quotes:
“I was the kind of girl they found dead in a hall bedroom with and empty bottle of sleeping pills in her hand.”
“I waked through the door and out of the office where movie stars are made.”
“Hollywood’s a place where they’ll pay you a thousand dollars for a kiss, and fifty cents for your soul. I know, because I turned down the first offer enough and held out for the fifty cents.”
