I tend to be pretty easy to please when it comes to books. Usually when a series gets so much attention, I read it to see what the hype is about. Most of the time, I am not disappointed. I loved Twilight, I loved the Hunger Games, The Help was great, and I cried for Water for Elephants. However, this series was just not written well. I understand the shock value may have been very entertaining for a lot of vanilla housewives, but the arc of the story just wasn't there. I kept asking people, is there a plot? Is there a plot? All of my friends kept assuring me there was a plot. I just don't think there really was. And reading about the annoying push and pull dynamic of their relationship through three books was just not enough for me. There were lots of little speedbumps throughout that could have been developed more to be the B storyline--but every issue was resolved in a chapter. For all of the talk about the anticipation and buildup of an orgasm, there was no anticipation or buildup of a story climax. I'm glad they were quick reads. I only felt myself intrigued for the first book (bc I wondered where it was going) and for probably two more chapters of the whole series. Skip it. I gave it two stars bc it wasn't so terrible that I couldn't finish it but that's about it.

Couldn't finish it :(

Christian: *exhibits abusive behavior*

Ana: ohwellz that's just how he is!

Im was disappointed with where the author went with her storyline in this book ... I was expecting some more of the forbidden sex but instead all I got was hopeless romance and while that is all well and good it just wasnt where I expect this author to finish this trilogy at. Highly disappointed with this last book.

Honestly, after reading the Fifty Shades Darker I have doubts about reading this book, but I'm glad I did. It's actually boring at first but the part where Ana got pregnant, well that's really interesting for me. I usually love reading books where the heroine got pregnant and/or books where the hero and heroine starts a new family. I also like books where there's an action, so I guess there's no question why I really liked the half part of this book. Well, it has a good story less the kinky fuckery.(Yeah, I know that it is under erotica. Well, I guess I'm not prepared for intense hardcore.) Cheers to Ana and Christian!

- didn’t enjoy as much as the first two
- the beginning was a bit slow (felt like the honeymoon would never end)
- the sex scenes started feeling repetitive, had to skip over a couple bc I just wanted to get back to the plot
- overall good series, would be down to check out the other 3 written from Christian’s perspective

Much the same as the second book so got a bit boring tbh plus some of the words used were just annoying.

I did however love 'fiftys first christmas' very cute
