It started out slow, but got better. What made this book were the treats at the end.
The worst in the series. I don't even know how to begin to describe how much I loathed reading this. Christian and Ana are completely the opposite of what a healthy relationship is. They manipulate each other, they keep things from one another, are unsupportive. I don't believe for a second that they're in love - it's just destructive, obsessive lust, laced with toxicity and misogyny.
Literally nothing happens in this novel for probably 400 pages of its alarmingly long length. Instead, we get copied and pasted sex scenes that are increasingly more and more boring. Because that's the worst part of this entire book - it's boring. It's unending. The sex scenes are the furthest thing from sexy. The writing is stilted, and the "oh mys," the lip bites, the "we aim to pleases" are so tired at this point it's impossible to even stand them anymore.
Ugh. Double ugh. I'm just happy I never have to see these characters ever again. Irredeemable.

Why did I keep going? Because I hate myself and humanity.
The sex scenes in this one were the best, but the plot was much less...there.

While reading the first half of this book I felt as though I was crawling through it. It was taking me forever! (In reality and I just wanted to read some different books after spending two weeks reading this trilogy) I know there's a lot of negativity surrounding these books and I get it, but they really aren't that bad. I enjoyed the series and the only thing that annoyed me at all was that there was /too/ much sex. It has a good story. The end of the book had me in tears. I enjoyed it.
By the third book the story kind of got boring for me.

One of the best books I've read in a while! Could not put it down! In love with them!
