not my favorite Solnit... didn't feel as tight/cohesive as some of her other essay collections I've read so it kinda lost me by the end, but there were some lovely individual moments for sure.

Read slowly as to commit every sentence to memory - I fell in love with RS’s writing style.
Especially loved the introduction and the first chapter on the colour blue (horizon over the mountain, on embracing longing and desire without attempting to own or acquire its objects).
