Ugh!

easily one of the most beautiful, insightful, and introspective novels i’ve ever read
adventurous emotional hopeful inspiring reflective slow-paced
hopeful informative inspiring reflective relaxing slow-paced

So, I feel like I just got back from taking a calm, afternoon stroll with a friend. Rebecca Solnit’s writing is soothing and stimulating at the same time—a companion guide on this journey. I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.
slow-paced

A series of reflections on personal experiences that struggles to form a coherent narrative and felt underwhelming.
slow-paced

Remember loving this (then reading her other books and hating them - I could even get halfway thru the mother of all questions). Kind of a very important book I think, was transformative for me in my stressful revolutionary stages of growth. My cousin stole my copy but I like that.

This was a reread for me. I like how she writes and how she can pull unrelated elements together to make a bigger picture. However, I had to take it slow with this book just because i kept losing my train of thought and interest. It's a good book and a great example of creative non-fiction, but it's not a "read in one day" type of book.
