So far, I like this the most. It had plenty of scary moments, the villain is being more proactive, and there was some good drama with the family. This really showed how grief can overtake you and twist you into a toxic person that can ruin your life and relationships. Halfway through!

This series is the most brilliant horror graphic novel series out there...

The story line keeps getting darker and I’m here for it! You really start to love Bode, Kinsey, and Ty at this point. They’ve been through it and I am rooting for them. The artistry is amazingly dark and violent which adds to the whole vibe.

So much meh, people.
I'm covered in meh.

I guess I get why everyone else and their warthogs love this story but it was a slog for me.
The keys are really pretty.
Though, really? Why would some of them even exist? Like, realistically, why would the Giant Key have been created and why would the keyhole be that keyhole? Please.
Scot Kavanaugh and Jamal (Jamal has a last name but I don't remember what it is because, unlike Scot Kavanaugh, Jamal's surname is only mentioned twice? Maybe three times? In the entire series) are now fully in the picture, which is fun. They're cute kids.
Jackie shows up, too. I had no idea who she was until the end of this episode. I think she was slipped in to show Kinsey could have girlfriends. Also, now the ending is making sense (remember, I knew how this ended going into the series)
I could have used more of Kinsey's fear and tears. Those guys are ridiculous and I loved that Fear's forelock was red, photo-opposite of Kinsey's green forelock. But this story is not about them. Moving on.
Zack's a shit. Of course. More of the same.
History is leaking in. That's a nice distraction.
Zack gets shadows and that whole battle was confusing.
Nina has a melt-down and finally - FINALLY - someone says something about her rape. The word "rape" is actually used. Pretty much Kinsey says, "I know you're having a hard time getting over Dad's death and being raped but you're being an asshole" (that's not a direct quote) I seem to be really harping on rape in this story, huh? Yeah, I totally am. It wasn't a necessary component, it didn't need to be there, but it was. So then call it what it is. But they didn't. It really bothered me. However, Nina's rape has now been mentioned and I don't think there is any further rapery from here on out so I will get over it.
Really, though, what is the point of the Giant Key? That was just silly.

Estoy encantada.
