One bed trope
Dual POV
Did this book have to be 500 pages long? No. Did I still love it? Yes.
I loved the back and forth bickering between Josh and Jules and their chemistry was great. I mean they were straight up yelling about how much they hate each other and then kissed. That was *chefs kiss*.
I also loved that this was somewhat of a slow burn and that they continued their bickering banter even after they stopped being enemies.
What I did not like about this book was when Jules told Josh she was the one that stole his stuff and then he straight up lied to her and said he forgave her when he didn’t. He then initiated sex with her (while angry at her) to then use that against her and purposely hurt her (emotionally). I did not vibe with that at all and this seriously made me want to give this book 3 stars.
I think that situation is very manipulative (and consent is questionable in my opinion) as Jules is consenting to sex with Josh not knowing that he is actually just having sex with her as a method of hurting her. Idk I would be interested to see/hear everyone else’s thoughts on this.
Overall I still really enjoyed the enemies/with benefits to lovers trope as I don’t think there are that many books with this trope. Or at least I haven’t read many with this trope.
I also loved all the little crumbs of Alex/Ava and Bridget/Rhys.
