Nearly ordered this a second time, after this review from Chelsea Humphrey!
Fell for the blurb by Simon & Shuster, as I had quite few bad books in 2017, I just hope (and Chelsea confirms me in that) this is one is better. While I am not too much into legal thrillers, I have read and enjoyed a few Grishams, but not read too many.
And somehow I think this gets filmed, but may be I am wrong. Not sure cannot find anything, so as of now I am probably wrong.

This is a book that gives you enough suspense to keep you wondering and enough drama that it is not overbearing. I don't want to give away too much but this story focuses on James, Kate, Holly, and Sophie and how things have changed for each of them over the course of 20 years and what has set each thing into motion. This is the first book I have read by Sarah and I can say that I will be looking to see what else she has written.

This was a solid book that I won't call timely, since rape is something that's been plaguing women since forever. I really appreciated its multifaceted approach to the subject, and it addresses a lot of big issues about privelege: due to wealth, class, and being a cis-gender male. I was expecting something with more of a twist, though, and I think that's why this book made me feel it lacked urgency. Still, it's very well-done and nuanced.
