This one was not for me. Barely a plot and couldn’t find any redeeming qualities in any of the characters (though that’s my fault for not taking the title at face value).

Read based on a rec from Hailey Hughes on YouTube!
I did a tandem read, the physical along with the audio.
Pros:
1. Multiple twists/reveals about the drama of the people in this summer beach town
Cons:
1. None of the twists/reveals were SUPER shocking, they more all just made sense
2. There are SO many characters - each chapter follows a dif character, but it was written in third person, and it only had one narrator for everything. I think it would have definitely been better if there were only about 5 POV’s that were in first person and had a dif narrator for each one.
3. The pacing of the book felt… off. Like in a chapter it would mention or hint to something, then in the next chapter it would go back in time to that moment, and I felt like we were being told more about certain things instead of getting shown.
Overall, it was an OK thriller, landing on a 3 star rating ⭐️

Perfect if you want a story full of Drama, rich spoiled Karens and their „perfect“ husbands… and someone winding up dead!
Welp. It’s a no from me. It’s not bad writing and it’s the story that the author wanted to tell. But it wasn’t for me at all. I thought it was a thriller suspense book. It is not. I saw it compared to the show White Lotus. Which I didn’t like that show either. There are lots of characters. All of which are horrible people. And don’t even care about the character that died.
