Starting with the discovery of a dead body, this book is has an underlying mystery as the reader follows the ultra-rich through a summer in paradise. Complete with lies, scandal, and drama this book draws you in to experience a summer on Fire Island.

Honestly, I would have gave this book a 5 star (which is rare for me) but what made it 4 stars is the person who gets murdered is not who I thought it would be but not in a good way. A shocker? Yes. The more I read it at the end finding out the victim and who REALLY resulted the death I did like it I guess the more I sat with the information, but the first initial instinct I didn't like the person who got murdered to be the victim. It honestly threw me off. I guess I was expecting 'cliche' with how much drama was involved in the story and for a "main" character to be murdered. But an overall would def recommend!!!

I really hate leaving a bad review. I generally find something about a book I like even if it wasn’t my favorite. But this book was pretty close to terrible. Zero redeeming qualities in any of the characters. Absolutely no one to root for, be sad for, me mad for… void of all emotion because these people are just awful. It *should* have been something I liked having Big Little Lies and The Perfect Couple Vibes (loved both)… but it was greatly lacking. A whole lot of nothing. SO much fluff going into great detail about tennis matches. And while that may have worked for Carrie Soto is Back, it certainly didn’t work for this book because you just didn’t care and weren’t rooting for a single soul. The “steamy” scenes were even half hearted. Virtually no plot. Unrelatable “problems.” WAY too many POV’s. If it wasn’t my local Book Club’s pick for the month, it would have absolutely been a 1 Star DNF for me.
