This book was alright and kind what I expected: Rich people who take themselves too serious and blow every little thing up.
But I have one main critic point: At the beginning of the book was teased that there would be a murder at some point in the story, but only at the last 100 pages it was confirmed who died and who could possible be responsible for it. So the whole book I was asking myself what the point is and on the other and besides the question who got murdered and who did it, was everything very clear and there wasn't mystery to anything. The reason for this are the many POV's, which is kinda cool and entertaining but so you get every POV straight and there isn't any questioning what happend and so there isn't a tension.
Nevertheless this book was well written and I enjoyed reading it.

I wanted a book about rich people behaving badly, and as usual the booksellers at Warwick’s delivered. This is a debut novel about rich people who summer on Fire Island.  There is not a good and kind person to be found in this book. The men are finance bros or high priced lawyers who care about status and gamesmanship, the women strive to look perfect, have instagram able children and beat each other at tennis, and they have no compunction about stealing men from each other. The new tennis pro is a Stanford grad trying to score with the women and also land a more lucrative job. When a dead body is found by the boardwalk, everyone and no one could be a suspect or be involved. This is a thriller and a social satire rolled into one and while sometimes one had to suspend belief about just how low anyone might go, it was highly entertaining to read by the pool

if you like watching white lotus and seeing rich people make fools out of themselves, i highly recommend

Emphasis on the "bad" in this title. I could not get through this.  I got to 55% and just did not have it in me anymore. I do not care about these people. At freaking all. A bunch of whiny rich people cheating on each other and playing tennis. Over halfway in, and nothing happened with the dead body they found in the prologue- which was hands down the most interesting thing. Boooooo this book. 👎

A good beach read type book. Just enough of a hook to keep you entertained and characters you love to hate.
