"I felt no shame whatsoever in these activities, because I understood what almost no one else seemed to grasp: that there was only an infinitesimal difference, a difference so small that it barely existed except as a figment of the human imagination, between working in a tall green glass building on Park Avenue and collecting litter in a park. In fact, there may have been no difference at all."

Ended up enjoying more than i thought i would, worth sticking it out with the book though originally thought was not much good and too 'experimental', but worth it in the end. Style akin to Cloud Atlas'

reread this book after coworkers were speaking highly of it. remembered that i found the ending
disappointing—unconvinced by the contrived and unrealistically consistent text dialect and underwhelmed by what struck me as a lack of adequate conclusion. very much the kind of novel that wins a pulitzer (sprawling map of intersecting characters over the course of a several decades that aims to be grand and profound).

would be a great book to read all in one sitting—I’m sure there are elements of the web that I missed by putting it down for too long.
I’m always impartial to a big fast-forward moment, and I think this one was also a little awkward (Sasha seems to be living a handset-free lifestyle at the same time as Alex’s timeline?).
So still some questions, but overall moving and well-written.

Toller Text, ein episodisches Puzzle, das sich zu einem kohärenten Bild zusammenfügt.
