Wow

Colleen does it again with an amazing book full of feels. Literally couldn’t put this book down. The amazing connection bwn Ben and Fallon and the heartbreaking story behind it all tying them together....just freaking astounding.

This book drew me in with its love story, stressed family dynamic and kept me engaged with its twists and turns.

look away! this was a social experiment!

listen,, you can only tell me a book is the worst thing you’ve ever read so many times before i have to find out for myself.

warning: way too long and serious review for the dumbest book i’ve ever read incoming.

colleen hoover books feel like they were written by a misogynistic male incel. the fact that this has a 4,16 rating makes me concerned for young girls who are just getting into reading and are being presented with these books as “romance novels”. i used to think i liked “it ends with us”, but then i saw her books for what they were. i think she’s appealing in the sense that her books are very accessible and she keeps inexperienced readers (like myself) hooked with the typical tropes and plot twists. this wouldn’t really be a problem, only the “romance” in her books is actually abuse and the “smut” is not only coercion a lot of the times, but described with language such as “i’m invading her” etc. and don’t get me wrong i don’t think that characters have to be good people for a book to be good, or that a book can’t have dark themes, it’s just that it’s clear we’re supposed to find this romantic. just so harmful.

This is one of my favorite CoHo books. I loved the plot twist and I was entertained the whole time. I find her books to be hit or miss for me, but I think that's mostly because I don't enjoy a lot of romance books.

This book was an easy 5 star for me. I also really liked Verity and It Ends With Us. (Don't talk to me about Ugly Love - I still have strong feelings for how much I disliked it.)

The characters are well developed and the plot is really good with a twist that I didn't see coming. The story is told by Ben and Fallon's point of views rotating throughout the story. I love the fact that it takes place over a few years and always on November 9th. I really enjoyed the whole co concept of this story I just wish there wasn't so much repeating of thoughts and I thought some of the reactions didn't fit the characters.
