This has so much potential. But I just couldn’t get behind the world building. Like every-time I felt like I was getting it I was indeed not getting it. I just tried to explain the plot to my husband and I think it broke him. Also there’s not a lot of dialogue. But the romance was cute.

Narration? Top notch. The insults that El has? Once again, she never disappoints.
But everything else? That was all a bit much. There was too much magic in here that was not sufficiently explained for me, it flew over my head a lot and I had to think a lot to try and figure out the workings.
I must say though, El and Orion's story had me heartbroken.

Ophelia needs to be dealt with, idk how but she needs something bad done to her.

I felt like there were several loose ends to this book, but I feel like that is the point. Life goes on and loose ends aren't always tied nicely in a bow. I felt like this was a satisfying conclusion to the series, but also my least favorite book. I think it was all the world building that had to happen quickly that made me like it the least.
