It was a little slow in parts, and some parts felt a little longer or shorter than they had. There was some time skips, which felt a bit odd in places. Some of this can be from a prequel purely about a min character from a series that was only supposed to be six books.
Either way, I really liked Bluestar in The Prophecies Begin, and it was nice having a book about her backstory, I suppose. It also showed us some interesting background information about some of the characters "Into The Wild" introduced, including showing us their family relations. We also got to see some more characters that didn't get as much time in The Prophecies begin, or who didn't get to make it far enough into the series. I enjoyed getting to see more Lionheart, he was a character I had been a little disappointed died in the first book. More Whitestorm is always appreciated, as well.
I think the biggest problem for me with "Bluestar's Prophecy" is that while a LOT happened, it felt like some of the events had odd amounts of space for them. We saw almost all of Bluestar's life as Bluefur, except for her deputyship. We saw almost all of her training as Bluepaw. I know it's only a prequel, and a lot of it focused on the part of her backstory we learned in The Prophecies Begin, I just feel like the book wound up really slow in places.
Overall, an enjoyable read if you liked Bluestar in the first series of Warriors, but rather slow and only really adds some context for some character relationships that were not defined in THe Prophecies Begin.

I am devastated. Love Bluestar sm, she deserves the world <333
It was nice to learn the backstory of Bluestar and ThunderClan before the events of The Prophecies Begin...but I just found a lot of this book too slow to maintain my interest. I enjoyed the last 1/3- I finished it in one sitting- but the first 2/3 were on-and-off with my interest. I liked a lot of the characters in this one that either didn't have much development in TPC or died before it happened, but Bluestar...I went back and forth between liking her and finding her annoying. But this book filled in a lot of gaps, so that was pretty fun regardless of the content.
