Read May 1, 2021 - May 31, 2021. Partial audiobook.

Ah, Bluestar. I'm sure there's other characters that have it worse than her in the series, but her story always just made me so sad. She loses so much, and as soon as she gets through the grief of one loss she's hit by another. I did struggle a bit getting through the first half of this one (as seems to be my way with the Super Editions) but I think that's mainly because it was the standard "I'm a kit! Now I'm an apprentice! Oh, time to do some training with my mentor!" stuff that every single book has.

I started listening to the audiobook instead around the point that Pinestar takes Bluefur to Highstones, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I did really enjoy the first arc's audiobooks as well (I wish my library had more.....

I wanted to learn more about Bluestar's past, so I borrowed this book from the library. I feel bad for Bluestar.

Absolutely loved this book! Loved getting to see Bluestar grow and become the leader she is when we first meet her her in Into the Fire. I enjoyed getting to know all the new (or old, as the case is) characters, though I became so attached to the new characters that at the end, when the book catches back up with Into the Wild, I was heartbroken to find they were walking with StarClan :(

If you've read the Warrior Cat series then this is a must.

It answers a lot of questions from the original Warrior series (first 6 books) that you've been left wondering.

Also, it goes into depth about Bluestar's life from being a kit to the leader of Thunderclan. I've always been curious about Bluestar because we never learned much about her, so that's why I was so excited to read this book.

However, I did like Firestar's Quest a tad more, but that's just personal preference - I always liked Firestar's back story and attitude the most.

The book is also fast paced and I rarely got bored with it.

That's as much detail I can go into because I ready this about 2 years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy, but I do know this is a good book and a must read!

It was really good. It gives me more information since I will be starting the original series. I really like Oakheart and Bluestar's relationship. It was so cute. She was such a good sister. She helped take care of her sister, Snowfur's, kit after she died. Thistleclaw, Snowfur's mate, doesn't like that Bluefur was spending time with his son, Whitekit who becomes Whitestorm. It was weird how every one wanted Bluefur to have a mate and have kits. She ended up having a mate, but there was one problem- they were from different clans. Bluefur was very loyal to her clan, but she had to give up some things. I was really surprised at one event that happened. What I think that Bluefur needs to know and understand is that not everything depends on your clan. She should have lived her life. But, i think that if she would have lived her life in a different way that she did, she wouldn't be clan deputy or even clan leader! Bluefur was such a great character. She has had really good times and really bad times. She lost her mother and her sister. She thought that she met a friend in Riverclan, but he told her that she was his enemy and her mate was from Riverclan and they couldn't be together. Her mate's name is Oakheart and his brother, Crookedjaw who later became Crookedstar, said that they were enemies and she thought they were friends. Crookedjaw and Oakheart are brothers. It was a book with mixed feelings. It is a must-read for Warrior fans. It was a really good book.
