Usually, additions to series are an afterthought, but this was well-developed and gave additional information and insight about the Divergent series.

This book was such an experience for me, mainly because Divergent is my all time favorite trilogy, of course. Tobias/Four has always been one of my favorite male characters of all time, and he's like my top 1 fictional boyfriend. Ever since reading Divergent and falling in love with him I had wanted to explore him more deeply, and when I was gifted this book it was as if all my dreams had come true. Tobias Eaton, I love you. Veronica Roth, I love you.
