AAAAAAH I LOVE MY LESBIAN WITCHES!!!

Okay but seriously. The way that Laudna’s character is captured in this book is done so well, and it’s absolutely beautiful how Khaw captures her determination to stay kind and open despite all of the horror she lives (ish) through. Laudna is a character who, in Critical Role, is so defined by her optimism and her unwavering faith in people, and that is so beautifully portrayed in this book. Even for people who don’t watch Critical Role, there’s something to be found in this book in regard to that depiction of how, despite the worst circumstances, hope and love can persist. This book was beautiful and devastating and heart wrenching and I could not recommend it highly enough.
