If you love Laudna and just want to know her past in more detail, I would highly recommend this book. It's very character driven and shows how she becomes who she is in her second life.

I adore Laudna and Pate. This character means the world and i was super excited for this. It was well done in giving a pre campaign story from vox machina to Jrusar, however it felt very cookie cutter of oh life is great to here is a terrible thing "Delilah time" to the exact same situation slightly different font.  I thought with all of the information being revealed since the book announcement and the actual publishing there would be more of why Laudna thinks of religion and has these reactions to people in charge, but there was just not a lot of depth. A great book for an intro to this awesome character! just wish it was more.
