Not as good as the first book (for me) but still really enjoying this series. Just realized it is supposed to be 7 books and only the first 4 are out - really wish I had known, likely would have waited until it was completed but I'm in it now.

I read the first one because I was gifted it and said I’d not read any more…it’s a fast read but it’s so bad. I cannot be the target audience as it’s generally rated so well?! Things happen really fast and there’s no depth to the characters at all. I’d be more interested in hearing more about the fantasy realms and magic but it’s just glossed over

📖 Spoiler-Free Summary:

Woven by Gold is book 2 in the Beasts of the Briar series and picks up right where the first left off. Rosalina, now banished and rejected by her fated mate, is determined to return to the magical world of the Briar and reunite with her princes. Tensions rise, secrets are unraveled, and romance simmers as she gets closer to each of them — and to the truth behind the kingdom’s curse.

💖 What I Loved:

Every. Single. Character. Seriously, even the minor ones are great.

The chemistry, the longing, the stolen glances… it’s giving tension.

The world feels even more lush and magical in this one.

---

😕 What Didn't Hit:

It didn’t have that big “OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!” moment at the end like book 1 did.

The audiobook narrators? Yeah... not it. Sorry.

👥 Who Should Read This?

If you like steamy fae romances with emotional tension, magic, curses, and a badass heroine collecting hot princes like Pokémon — this is for you. Especially if you're already on board from book one!

finally

I can’t get enough of her books!!
I have been waiting for the truth and I finally got a small taste of it but I still have so many questions!!!
On to the next book

the pacing was kind of bad and i feel like the tenseness of moments were resolved too quickly - so either there's more plot there or it's just poor writing

I’d say this was better than the first Beasts of the Briar series! It includes more magic, more slow burn romance and more fae spice! With an action packed battle, mate bonds blossoming and enthralling world building, this novel takes you down to the Below to explore more of the realm.

I do feel that the story is being drawn out. The romance moves fast but only a few relationships develop further.

This novel drew me in and I finished it in a day!

Onto the next!!

Even better than book 1!

Omg. So good love that its no longer the B&tB bones and now its own story. So good! Love the characters and drama and how there's still so much mystery to the layers of story! spice was definitely taken up a notch as well!
