So, so funny. I really do absolutely adore [a:Terry Pratchett|1654|Terry Pratchett|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1235562205p2/1654.jpg] and this is one of my favorites to date. Having lived in Hollywood, the satirical depiction of the birth of Holy Wood probably contributed largely to this. Not that that is the only merit by far. Victor, the boy who has consistently gotten a grade on his annual exam that would ensure he never actually became a wizard, becomes Holy Wood's most popular leading man, starring in, among other things, a "click" called Blown Away which is quite obviously intended to be Gone With the Wind. There is a drive of a thousand elephants across plains and mountain ranges. Gaspode the Wonder Dog, a scruffy mutt who speaks, becomes the first agent, and much, much more. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone. I loved it.

as a longterm fan of lassie i gotta say laddie was the best of everything

anyway the quote of how lifes like seeing a movie but u came in ten minutes late and no one will tell u the plot so u have to figure it out urself from the clues is !!!! as well as ginger talking about the tragedy of all the ppl never finding out what they want to do or are good at

these books are honestly so addicting, i loved this one. so many great characters like the wizards and the librarian and gaspode and dibbler (and the watch appearances were lovely).  the plot was so enthralling!!! it was very comforting to read and has made me even more excited (if possible) to continue with my discworld journey :)

My first foray into the Discworld. I didn't really know what to expect, but this book just kind of grabs you and pulls you along for the ride.

A much more enjoyable Discworld book then what I was expecting.
Compared to the previous 2 Discworld books I have read, this is an improvement.

Had some laugh out loud moments as well as times which made an individual think and ponder.

My Discworld journey continues and I am loving it!
