There could have been more to the ghosts for the mystery but the rest was alright.
I did not realize there was controversy with the author and I felt weird finishing the book after learning about it.

My biggest beef with this book was simply that the horror plot took such a back seat to the romance that by the end it felt like it was still missing within the horror plot. Like why could only she and Neil see the ghosts?? Especially if the skinner last name had nothing to do with Penelope?? What was the point? And they figured out the whole war thing so easily and quickly, where was the detective work or build up there?
Also, I feel like they went completely 0 to 100 way too fast with their relationship as well. Didn’t love that.

I didn't actually finish this book but I read enough of it that I think I should get credits for trying. This was cringy as shit, extremely boring and way. To. Slow.

Despite others reviews I actually liked reading this book. Was it the best thing I've read, no. But it was a fast read and I actually got behind the enemies to lovers storyline. The ghost details I feel like there could have been more but what was included, I really did like. Overall, I enjoyed the book but definitely wouldn't read again.

After reading others reviews and seeing more information, I do say I feel very icky about this book if the author truly isn't Native American. To lie about something like that for book sales is crazy so I hope it isn't true or a gigantic mistake.

Got an arc but never ended up reading it cuz I didn't have time. But now I'm glad I didn't.
