Jewel E Ann has done it again. Done what you may ask? She has cannonballed into my reader mind, grabbed from the depths of it the “exact perfect reader spot”, and HIT it with this story. I mean…seriously WTF?? It reminds me that JEA and I are destined to be BFF’s. Not in a creepy stalker “Jimmy” way, in a more finish each other’s sentences, walk the dogs and talk about all things JEA. And the creep settles back in HAHAHAHA! This story was a bullseye to the senses for me. It held all I needed and wanted in the pages and delivered them effortlessly to my heart in a way that JEA has mastered. The humor, friendship, awkward AF situations that her characters get themselves into, all of it combined to keep me mesmerized and engaged until the very end. Which I ran into about 3:37am, does not bode well for this Wednesday.

This was a funny romcom. I will admit Shep wasn't my favorite at times. He pushed boundaries a little and I didn't like that.
I still think it was a cute romcom and the bantering was hilarious. I love witty comebacks.

I can guarantee you that you HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER read another romance like this one.
OMG, it is so different and I am laughing just thinking about it.
Jewel writes the MOST unique characters in her books with the most uncommon backgrounds.
This story was no different.
Shep is a new bachelor who is understated, charming and very witty.
Sophie has a history of picking the wrong guys and she wants no part in dating. Her life is a complete zoo.
Together, I was hanging on every moment, waiting to how their current lives could fit with one another and whether or not Sophie would give him a chance to prove that there are decent guys out there.

Such a good rom-com. The banter between the main characters is amusing and makes you laugh out loud. A unique situation with real life issues and lovable characters. Friends to lovers trope

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.. you can’t go wrong with any Jewel E. Ann book! What Lovers Do may be one of my new favorites by her. I loved Sophie and Shep! Their chemistry was off the charts and I found myself grinning and giggling throughout the book. This is one romantic comedy I will definitely be recommending to everyone!

This was so much fun from start to finish. Sophie & Shep had such incredible chemistry immediately, even during their awkwardly adorable meet cute. It was impossible not to root for them. I had so much empathy for Sophie & found her to be very relatable. And Shep was, well, he was just perfection. This was the exact book I needed to read at the exact moment I needed to read it. I cannot recommend it enough.
